Rowman & Littlefield has partnered with Copyright Clearance Center to make it easy for you to request permissions to reuse Rowman & Littlefield content.
Simply follow these steps to get started:
- Visit copyright.com and enter the title, ISBN or ISSN number of the publication you’d like to reuse in the top right corner and hit “Go”
- After finding the title you’d like, choose “Pay-Per-Use Options”
- Enter the publication year of the content you’d like to reuse
- Scroll down the list to find the type of reuse you want to request
- Select the corresponding bubble and click “Price & Order”
- Fill out any required information and follow the prompts to acquire the proper permissions to reuse the content that you’d like

There are two types of stories posted on the World Folklore Website. Each has different permissions.
- Stories marked “public domain” in the citation that appears at the close of each article may be freely reprinted, reproduced, photocopied, posted on educational web sites, used in educational testing, and utilized in other academic ways without additional permission needed from S.E. Schlosser. A reference to the editor and website would be appreciated if you use the version of the story that is published on the WorldFolklore site.
